Guarding a piece of sailing history

Guarding a piece of sailing history

s/y Belmont is the Swan 51 with which Harry “Hjallis” Harkimo successfully competed in the single-handed BOC Challenge Around the World 1986-87 finishing third in class. This is a historic achievement in Finnish sailing history – still unbeaten till this day!

Today s/y Belmont upholds an important piece of Finnish sailing history by offering charity sailings to support important causes such as saving the Baltic Sea (John Nurminen Foundation) offering youngsters the chance to experience the unique history of overcoming ones fears on the water (Helsinki Missio and Scouts).

In order to finance the continuous need to improve on the condition of the boat, s/y Belmont arranges commercial charters for companies and private persons. For more information on the different charter options, please have a look at Unforgettable charter experiences.
